P90X

Hey everyone out there. I haven't really been doing a good job with keeping up on my blogging so I thought I give an update on how everything is going. Lets start with the family life. I am still not married but happily in a relationship. My sister's little bundle of joy is now 3 months old!! And Rocky is just doing the same old thing that he has been doing since the beginning...Eat, Sleep, Poop! I am still in college and inching towards the finish line. I hope to be a senior by the fall and get my class ring. It just seems so hard to keep up with school and work full time all in one year. My brother is in new Orleans doing his own thing and I miss him so much. Hope fully later this I plan to take a trip down there and visit and even see the Texans play some football. The next best thing in my life is a little workout video called P90X. There is the poster up at the top. It is basically a 3 month ordeal to change your whole body. My workout routine got off on a rough start. I started the first week fine and then BAMMM..Sickness strikes me and I'm out for the second week. I start again and BAAMMM.. the sickness that didn't go away before decided to bombard me again and I'm out for anther week. It has been about a month but i can already see the results. I work out 6 days a week and rest on the 7th. It is changing slowly and the workouts are really intense but it is worth it all the way. I will hopefully keep you updated on other things and maybe this weekend I can get some cooking recipes up. Something I haven't posted before. Anyway TTYL.

Queen's Country

Hello everyone! So sorry about not really writing anything the past couple of months. I had a bit of a hard time with some things but now I am pretty sure I am getting back to normal. A couple of things to catch up on since I last posted. Which I think was around Christmas....My sister had her lovely baby-Ray-Lynn. I went to see her in California and I will post some pictures soon. I am still cooking just not snapping as much as I want to. Work has been slow and creeping along but I imagine it will get going by May and Rocky is doing great. I will also post a story about what is going on in his life.

So a couple of months ago I went with my Uncle Richard to a Drag Queen contest. It was my first ever and boy did I have something to see. It was at the In-N-Out Club. It was a little whole in the wall place but quaint. It has a bar and places for people to sit on couches and chairs. It played music while the Queens were getting their stuff together.

When the party began all of the Queens came out and did one big number together.

I thought it was a little funny because two Queens were trying to take the lead and it was obvious that one was better than the other. Take a closer look and see which one you think it better.

Yep you guessed it. She is our leading lady. The other one was drunk or something.

There is always a host to these things and she was it. She was excellent and did a little number herself while everyone was getting ready. The whole purpose of this show was to pick one lucky lady to go on the road and tour to different cities with a group of other Queens.

Here are all of the contestants ( I don't remember the names but I'll tell you my grading of them and what they did.):

This was the first contestant. She was horrible and a little drunk.

This was the lead singer of the opening act and she did a little Spanish version and of course dressed in a dramatic gown.

This one was one of my favorites because she sang herself and didn't lip sing. She also had pretty dresses.

Rediculous....Rediculous.....Rediculous!!!!!

Horrible.... This one was a whack job and sang with a puppet.

I liked this one very much because she was a great dancer and danced to Beyonce. Which I am a big fan of. Her outfit was great too.

I'm sad to say that I don't remember this performance at all. So I am thinking she deserves an F.

Christmas Decorating

It's that time of year again. Christmas Decorating! This Christmas I had a mantel to decorate and I was excited as ever to see what I could do with it. I always loved the fake branches that people hung from their mantels so I went with that theme. I also put up the Christmas tree.

Since it was a cold night, I decided to light a fire to get into the Christmas spirit. It took me a couple of tries but eventually I got it lit.

I went to Garden Ridge for all of my Christmas mantel decorations. The good thing about next year will be that I won't have to spend all the money trying to get my Christmas decorations. I had to do that last year for the Christmas tree decorations. Let meet the characters shall we?...

Santa

Ginger Bread Guy #1

Jesus, Mary, Joseph

White Mini Christmas Tree

Reindeer

Candle

Mr. Snowman

Ginger Bread Guy #2

I had to put up the Christmas Tree another day because I was just so tired from Thanksgiving but here is the final product.

Any every time I go home it feels like Christmas. Now all I have to do is make my list and go shopping.

Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving was a great one. The food was great, almost everyone of the family was there and it was good conversation the whole time.

Every year my uncle Dennis fries the turkey. We all like to stand around to see the turkey drop like the ball on new years eve in time square.

At first it smells like french fries but then it just smells like fried chicken and you want to take it out immediately and eat it with some ketchup right there on the grass.

My cousins are in full teenager mode. Lazying about with no worries at all. And that's how it should be. Heck that's how it was when I was that age.

So let's go through the menu shall we. It was a wonderful one I have to admit.
Fried turkey
Mashed Potatoes

Shrimp dressing...( I have to admit when I took this on my plate that I only ate the shrimp off of it. I don't like dressing but I love shrimp)

Broccoli rice casserole

We also had rolls and green beans. It was a nice dinner and having everyone together felt like home.

Happy Thanksgiving and I hope everyone had a good holiday. Next up....Christmas!!

Sisters...

Over the past couple of weeks I have been thinking a lot about my sister and what she is about to become....A MOM!!! We have always been close so it is really hard to see her so little and life changing so fast. Especially when she is pregnant for the first time. I thought I would put up some pictures today to share and reminisce about all the times we spent together. We are both growing up but still are really close. I will always love you sister.
