Time for baby shower number 3. Every shower seems to be different and fun in its own way. This shower was for my boyfriend's cousin. He and his wife are having their first child and are thrilled about it. When I was invited to the party I was a little worried because THEY ALL SPEAK SPANISH!!! (Hint: I am a white girl). I was so scared driving over to the house. The whole time I was thinking..."Ok you can do this. Just smile and say yes to everything. They'll never know." Then when I got there it wasn't so bad. My boyfriend told me to come at 4 when the part started at 3. I thought he was nuts but thats when I came. I met him at his house ( which was right next door to his aunts, which was hosting the baby shower) and all of his family was still at the house. He was right ( for once haha). His brother in law said " When Hispanic people say a time, they mean one or two hours later to show up". We all laughed and I felt better. Ok on with the shower.
Of course plenty of gifts for the momma and daddy.
There were games also. Some of them I didn't get pictures of because they were like the other shower. This is called the feeding game. Picture explains it all. The first one to finish wins.
My boyfriend's beautiful sister, her aunt and son. It was kind of funny.... In the other picture you can see that all the other people are sitting on laps but her son didn't want the aunt sitting on his mommy's lap so he sat there instead.
Measure the belly.
My boyfriend's mother. Very nice. She was saying as we were eating that she was ready for her two son's to have babies. AAHHHH!!! Run for the door!!!!!! Just kidding. I said well we have to get married first.
Here is the mommy to be and daddy to be.
Food!!!! Well my boyfriend is Salvadorian and they have some really good food. There is a sandwich they have during Christmas that they had at the party that I love. It is shredded chicken with a cole slaw topping and radishes on a toasty bun. It is ssssooo good-minus the radishes. This was some fruit salad with coconut ( which I love) and some cake. I almost ate all the cake before I realized I needed to take a picture of it.
